About MADCA

The Massachusetts Association of Early Education & Care is the trade association for child care providers in Massachusetts. Founded in 1972, MADCA represents the public policy and advocacy interests of over 600 child care centers, school age providers, and 2,200 family child care providers. MADCA has been a leading voice for quality early education and care, promoting center accreditation and hosting conferences throughout the state geared towards professional development of early educators.

This year, MADCA’s agenda is focused on the child care rate reserve and access to quality early education and school age programs.

On February 14, 2012 over 600 people gathered at the State House to advocate for higher wages for early education and school age providers. As a result of this effort, 25 state Senators and 57 members of the House of Representatives have signed on to the Binienda-Dorcena Forry letter asking for $25 million additional dollars be included in the FY13 State Budget to be
