Massachusetts House Seeks New Investments in Early Education

House Speaker Ronald Mariano and House Ways & Means Chairman Aaron Michlewitz visit Association Member Ellis Early Education in Boston to announce major new investments in early education in FY ’23 state budget. Ellis CEO Lauren Cook (pictured below) welcomed the Speaker and Chairman.

House leaders are proposing $110 million in new funding – including a $60 million rate reserve for early educator salaries – to stabilize programs and create a more sustainable early education system in Massachusetts. Early Education programs throughout the state thank Speaker Mariano, Chairman Michlewitz and House Education Chairwoman Alice Peisch for their continued leadership, friendship and support.
